Squirrels have amazing reflexes. After being knocked off the tree by the cat it most likely leaped away to safety. They’re actually faster ninjas than cats. I came to the realisation that most people dont fear crocodiles as much as other animals. I am terrified of the idea that something is under water patiently waiting for you to step in. I dont understand people who feel so secure in the wild without any weapons, especially in water. If I knew that there are crocs where I live, I would doublecheck the bath tub before jumping in.
salt water crocodiles are also the animal most likely to eat a person so yeah, I want nothing but distance from those
Problem is, crocs are ambush predators. You don’t see them ’till they grab you, and then you’re either incredibly lucky or done for. Not much a weapon could do when a croc death rolls…
You don’t need a weapon just bloody common sense. It’s mostly tourists who get taken by a crocodile because they ignore the signs.
